My response to Amos Yee. (based on his blog post)

So after reading a blog post by Amos Yee, this is my response to him.

DISCLAIMER:
  • I am not here to cyber-bully nor push him down further with whatever he has been going through.
  • This post is entirely my story and opinion of how I feel after reading his blog post.
  • Do note that no one has to agree to everything stated below and it is just my RESPONSE to how I feel about this.

I am going to break it down as how Amos Yee did. (Only Part 1,2,3 and 4)

PART 1: SOCIAL LIFE

I wasn't so different, however I was near to an outcast. I was also known as the girl with "buck teeth". Girls from other classes came to create "trouble" and even had seniors coming to "talk to me". However, I didn't care about all the negativity. Why use the time to create sorrow when you can embrace happiness?

Yes, social life seemed important during our Secondary School days and I cannot argue with that. Most of us were trying our best to be "popular" and be in one of those groups that were "above others". Some days, I really felt like being a part of them but most of the time I get through it and embrace the one and only real friendship I had at that time.

The real question is, why do you care so much about how "popular people and people in huge cliques" communicate?

Quote by Amos Yee: "And how can you, when the most effective communication is between 2 people, and you're surrounded by so many people you barely know about other than the information presented on their Facebook profiles.", I beg to differ.

It has been about 3 to 4 years since I've graduated and I have seen those "popular groups" still hanging out happily. Maybe they weren't as real during their school days, but their experiences as a group throughout the years has molded them into one big family. So if you think effective communication is only between 2 people, you're wrong to a certain extent. Does this mean groups of friends are always fake and insincere? Think about it.

Last but not least, Secondary School days are the times where we grow up and start to mature into young adults. It's only less than half of the journey in our lives and what they do to gain popularity now doesn't matter. You have yet to see how everyone evolves and change (hoping to be better) as they grow up.

However, I sincerely applaud you for being "alone" and standing up to your motto. I can tell everyone that it is never easy being the one alone but people like us? We have never felt happier than having insincere people around.

PART 2: TEACHERS

In your point of view, you were using your time in class cringing and weeping about how the teachers were coaching us. But honestly to me, I didn't really care.

What I cared about was the passion and effort our teachers put on us. My class wasn't an easy group to handle but it made me see how our teachers never gave up. Dude, school isn't just about getting knowledge. It's also about life stories that make us who we are right now.

I could always recall how our form teacher get so mad when we were being "disrespectful" and telling us how working life would be when we grew older. We were always grinning when he gave us lectures but I knew that most of us took it to heart. As much as we were being defiant, we did learn many things other than knowledge.

I didn't just learn English, Math or Science, I learnt to understand someone's point of view who was much older as an individual. As a normal human being who goes home everyday after school wondering how we'll manage when we grow older. I learnt that being a teacher isn't just about the methods of teaching and imparting knowledge, it's also about them never giving up on us when most of us thought that our future was over.

Teachers AREN'T PERFECT. They might be teaching the wrong way, BUT with good intentions. So Amos, If you're judging teachers based on methods of teaching, there's definitely no right or wrong.

PART 3: CCAS

I can only conclude that you haven't seen the world. There'll always be people around who you dislike and make you hate something that you were once passionate in. There's also no use in pin-pointing teachers as we all make mistakes. If you were so unhappy with your CCA, why didn't you leave?

Also, this is just one school and one CCA. There are thousands of schools and activities in Singapore and while you were hating on yours, others are enjoying the time of their lives. The world doesn't revolve around you. If you hate your CCA (or school) for this, you're quite naive. Do not pull something down just because it happened to you, there are others out there who have tons of happy stories to share about their CCAS.

Accept the fact that some seniors would always try bring you down. I was in Dance Club and honestly, the coach was slightly biased to seniors comparing to us juniors. No I didn't hate my CCA, I embraced it further. It was experiences like this that made me open my eyes and wake up realizing that this is the actual world. There would be people above you doing things you dislike but it is you to decide if you really want to be put down by it.

RACISM, do not ever put your blame on someone else just because that person isn't doing something you would do. Do not be RACIST just because that person is different. Not everyone is the same as you, not everyone would be as smart. But why weren't you smart enough not to be racist and leave your CCA when you were downright unhappy?

PART 4: AN AVENUE THAT FOSTERS CREATIVE THINKING

I only have one question to ask.  Is "cocksucker@gmail.com" CREATIVE to you? Seriously.

CONCLUSION:

Yes I have much higher EQ than you but you have way higher IQ than me. That is our difference, and that is your difference with others who are hating on you currently. If you do not get why I'm responding to you, this is why:

  • Everyone is different, do not put hate on something you cannot change.
  • Just because you are smarter than most of us, do not bring others down and think that you are 100% right. (including posting a YouTube video and then smiling to the camera when pressed charges)
  • The world doesn't revolve around you. 4 years of your life in school doesn't determine how much your school sucked. There might be others in your school enjoying their time there.
  • There is freedom of speech, just know when and how to speak out.
  • I appreciate your honesty in sharing your story about your life in school, but I hope you open your eyes and understand that this is only your point of view.

With whatever you have said in your recent YouTube video, I do not have much say. However, please think of  your parents and how your Dad has to apologize on behalf of you.

LASTLY, to the rest who are hating on Amos Yee: Yes I dislike him due to his actions and behavior. But do not go on scolding vulgarities or making fun of his looks. Jokes are jokes (I joke about him too), but know when to stop or when it's not funny anymore.

On a side note,
Rest In Peace Lee Kuan Yew.

Thoughts at 2am.

Hello to whoever's reading here, I know I've been away for quite awhile and there's really nothing much to blog about. Even though I've been really busy going out, it's just the same few people and same few things. I initially wanted to blog about going out with le bij but I'm too lazy. Right now I'm just snuggled up ready to sleep but unable to because of too many thoughts and a screwed body clock.

Life has been so stable nowadays but everything's that unstable is just in my head. I honestly don't even know what the fuck I'm rambling about LOL. but yes I just missed this little paradise where I could pour out my emotions to.

I miss so many things in life that I wish I could do. Of course some are easy to do it alone but some, you just wish someone so close to your heart to be there for you. You meet that person and you feel like you're meeting yourself; which to me is the best feeling ever.

It's crazy how during this point of time I could encourage and help the people around me whereas I can't even help myself. I guess it always happens to us huh? We think we're some kind ass people being able to help others, but when we look at ourselves in the mirror we wish we could listen to our own advice.

If anyone really knew and understood me comparing my past and present, I have grown so much and changed for the better. Which is a good thing; right? But sometimes I wonder what if I didn't? What if I remained that bitch that everyone hated. Am I changing for the right purpose, right people or plainly for myself?

When you think of life, what comes into your mind? When I question that in my head, all I feel is a sigh, a deep breath out of my body and always thinking "it's such an asshole". Funny thing is few seconds later, I shrug it off and move on with it; move on with that asshole.

Someone I met recently taught me so much about hope and faith. It was everything I hated and lacked of.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm really human to begin with because I lack so many good points of a person. But sometimes I kinda like myself, myself for hating hope; believe; faith and pixie dust shit.

Hahaha okay bye.

The Mint-Green Dress.

Hello my muffins! I just really had to say that I don't know why but hi. *awks*

I just had the most sinful day ever but I don't want to ruin this post by explaining blah blah but here's another mini-shoot I did! It's from the Cotton On haul and it was supposed to be a long tank-top but ended up being a dress HAHAHA. Short people problems.

But I was so amazed because it actually looked good on me. BUT I don't know when I'll be wearing this out because it's not a tank and it looks like a party dress now. Also, IT'S ONLY $5. Can you berieve it. Only 5 dorrar.

Ok shutupandpostpictures.

I know some are repeated and stuff but these were the better looking ones compared to the others I have in the folder. Maybe I'll do like an "extra-post" stuff after I'm done with all these!

Tell me if you like them because I enjoy taking photos and stuff. Also, a chance for me to put thick make up on. Yes this is the thickest I can get. hehe.

$35 Cotton On Haul.

It's currently 1am and my brain juices are at the most extreme levels. I start to catch up on my youtube videos, thinking of the blog posts I have yet to do and about to share my favorite haul I have personally paid for on my own.

Yes I'm one of those girls where my parents pay for nearly everything in my life and I actually dislike working (call me a brat or whatever) except for my current job (which was an old job) and yes whatever I've been buying has been on my own so far. Which made me even extremely happy because I got my first pay during the GSS Sales. How happy was I?! HAHAHA

It was actually something on impulse but I entered Cotton On and I was DROP DEAD. Everything was so fucking cheap I really had a hard time deciding what I need / will wear / buy and wear once kinda thing. Felt really good because I spent $35 on 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of shoes and a dress/long tank. I think it's quite a steal ok.

I also headed to H&M just for the shades because it was something I always needed and wanted. It was so hard not to look around after getting those shades btw if not another $45 might be spent HAHAHA

$5 each and I absolutely love the one above. You might have seen me wearing it already (on my instagram @ _bellxne)!
I thought I would love the pink one but it didn't suit me with the outfits I've been wearing and I haven't worn it out yet.

Also got these leopard printed shorts for $10. It's uber cute and it's so comfortable to wear it at home. I can even use this as a swimsuit or something next time OR even going overseas. Super light, small and comfortable and look at the colours I loveeeeeeeee!

I also really needed more home shorts and this was perfect (but a lil' small) @ $10 as well. Many colours were available like black, grey and pink if I'm not wrong so I got it in navy blue!

Remember those shoes I always wore with the Hello Kitty prints? I FOUND IT WITH SLIPPERS TOO. @ $5 and it was a MUST BUY but can I just say I'm not a fan of Hello Kitty but I really love the design and prints. It's so easy to match with clothing despite shoes or slippers!

(Was sad after wearing it to the beach for a day and the colours started coming out but I guess that's what happens when you buy cheap and fancy stuff.)

I was so surprised that this shoe costs only $5 because the details of the design is so amazing. I had a tough time thinking if I should get it but yes smart ellyne decided to take it one size smaller ._. because 37 was too loose so I thought I could make do with a 36. Hurts if I wear it for too long but hey it's a steal for 5 bucks.

Last but not least, long tank / dress for $5. I don't know how to describe the color but I'm thinking it's turquoise? I was lazy to try it because it's so cheap and I thought it would just be a long tank top for me but it became a dress instead HAHAHA.

That's all for the mini haul! Here's me with some of the items ^^

Updates and being a red head.

I haven't been hardworking and blogging am I :(

Life has been so hectic but in a good way. I've been going out or working and it's so crazy I even crave for my own me time at home. When I'm home all I do is catch up on Youtube and Farmville. I haven't even been exercising for a week or so and eating crazily. Sleep is less than 7 hours everyday and my whole life cycle is messed up. Sounds like a bad thing but no it's just I'm procrastinating HAHA.

Get ready for loads of photos and updates since I disappeared!

Last month when I did my own photo-taking with my new clothes (the black romper was my first post!) I finally had full make for once and my hair was awesome on that day so I took so many selfies.

This has got to be one of my favourite photo because somehow the lighting, shadows and hair contoured my nose and it looks like I have a nose bridge CORRECT OR NOT.

Also headed to the beach alone few weeks back because I just had the need to o.o
I really don't know why but it just felt great being there alone!

Pepe lunch for dinner weeks back. Why pepe lunch? I don't know because my son said so. He tryna' act cute HAHAHA. but now I say pepe lunch too. Who wants pepe lunch?

& then we met up again to celebrate his birthday. I FINALLY MET MY OTHER SON!

CHOMP CHOMP was really awesome. I don't recall eating it before so I guess it was my first time. It's so good I really want to go back again!

Introducing my new son on the right! Still feeling stupid because we were celebrating the middle son's birthday but both of them paid for dinner. WHAT LOGIC! but still good times alright :)

Fast forwarding it to now which I think all of you know from my instagram, (changed my username to _bellxne so please folllow hehe) firstly I trimmed my hair which I dislike as usual because it was too thin :( but also loving it because it's not so heavy anymore and dries faster after I bathe. *firstworldproblems*

the very next day I got crazy and headed to NEXT Salon @ ION Orchard to dye my hair. YES this is goodbye to my natural brown hair. Virgin hair dye I was so excited inside all I could do was grin HAHAHA

RED. I'M A RED HEAD. WHAT IS LIFE.

I felt really good and it's soooooooo fucking nice. Exactly the color I wanted in mind and BOOM. I'm so happy. but the worst thing is that I can't wash my hair till tomorrow so it looks kinda ugly and I feel so dirty but yes another 9 hours more to even sexier hair :3

Headed for simple dinner alone at Starbucks and look at the smiley face the guy drew for me. I always feel so special and happy when they have my name or something like that because yes I know my name isn't really Belle but whatever it's me HAHA.

Okay more photos of my new fucking awesome hair.
